Sok Voeun elected chairman of Cambodia Microfinance Association
PHNOM PENH, Mar. 12, 2026 (KPT) — The Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) has elected Sok Voeun, Chief Executive Officer of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., as Chairman for the 2026–2027 mandate, the association announced Thursday.

Ms. Dith Nita of CAMMA Microfinance Institution, who served as CMA Chairwoman in 2024–2025, was elected Vice‑Chairwoman. The appointments were made by the newly formed CMA Board of Directors following elections at the association’s Annual General Assembly in Phnom Penh, attended by more than 100 member institutions including microfinance institutions, banks, leasing firms and rural credit providers.

Alongside the Chairman and Vice‑Chairwoman, 11 industry leaders were chosen to serve on the Board, representing a broad cross‑section of Cambodia’s financial sector. Officials said the new leadership will guide CMA’s strategic direction and advance responsible lending, consumer protection and financial inclusion nationwide.
Sok Voeun, a veteran of more than 20 years in banking and microfinance, previously served as CMA Vice‑Chairman. Dith Nita, widely recognized for strengthening industry governance, will continue to play a key role in promoting responsible finance.

CMA said the Board’s mandate is to support the sustainable development of Cambodia’s microfinance sector, ensuring access to affordable financial services for households and small businesses across the country.
