Cambodia’s Tire Exports Hit $630 Million in Four Months as Rubber Industry Expands
PHNOM PENH, May 28, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia earned more than $630 million from tire exports in the first four months of 2026, a 44.22% increase from the same period last year, as the country accelerates its rubber processing and tire manufacturing industries, official data showed Wednesday.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said the surge in tire exports is strengthening Cambodia’s value-added rubber sector and reducing reliance on raw material shipments.

Speaking at the inauguration of a new rubber processing plant operated by Kims Rubber (Cambodia), Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet urged ministries to strengthen links between factories and local rubber-producing communities to boost domestic value-added production.
Hun Manet noted that Cambodia has increasingly connected local rubber suppliers with tire manufacturers in recent years, reducing dependence on imports and supporting industrial development.
Men Sopheak, president of the Rubber Development Association of Cambodia (ARDC), said the growth in tire exports has helped stabilize rubber prices despite global economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
Ken Oudommonysinat, CEO of Sailun, added that the presence of large tire factories in Cambodia is expected to expand rubber cultivation, stabilize the market, and attract further investment.
In 2025, Cambodia’s average rubber export price rose to $1,756 per ton, up 3% from the previous year. The Ministry of Commerce reported tire exports worth $1.38 billion in 2025, a 57.86% year-on-year increase, making tires one of the country’s fastest-growing export products.
