Cambodia Investment Board reviews $111 million in projects
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Nov. 22, 2025) — The Cambodia Investment Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia on Friday held a single-window meeting to review 10 qualified investment project proposals worth a combined $111 million.

The meeting, chaired by Secretary General Chea Vuthy, examined projects expected to create about 6,000 jobs. Nine of the proposals were in the industrial sector, including rubber oil production, animal feed, decorative light strings, Christmas trees and ornaments, plastic products, and pet supplies.
The projects are planned for Takeo, Kampong Speu, Prey Veng, Kampot and Preah Sihanouk provinces.
Preah Sihanouk province received two new proposals: a rubber oil factory and a Christmas ornament manufacturer. Together, they represent more than $15 million in investment and could generate over 1,000 jobs. The rubber oil plant is valued at about $7 million, while the ornament factory is estimated at $8 million.

Deputy Governor Long Dimane joined the meeting to review the proposals. Officials said the session aimed to assess feasibility, compliance and potential benefits of the projects submitted to the Council for the Development of Cambodia.
Both the rubber oil and ornament factory proposals received principle approval from the board.
