HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam (Sept. 3, 2025) — Vietravel has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding tourism cooperation with Cambodia, pledging to bring more Vietnamese and international visitors to the Kingdom through joint initiatives and promotional campaigns.

The announcement came during a courtesy meeting at the Rex Hotel between Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism, H.E. HUOT Hak, and Mr. Pham Hoang Hung, Vietravel’s business development representative. The two sides discussed operational challenges, market opportunities, and new strategies to strengthen bilateral tourism flows.

Minister Hak expressed appreciation for Vietravel’s continued engagement and proposed broader promotion of Cambodia’s tourism destinations, emphasizing the country’s reputation as a safe, welcoming, and attractive destination. He reiterated Cambodia’s commitment to peace, regional cooperation, and the safety of all visitors.

Both sides agreed to co-organize a familiarization trip (Famtrip) in the near future, enabling Cambodian private sector stakeholders to meet with Vietnamese partners and explore joint tour packages.

Cambodia welcomed over 6.7 million international visitors in 2024, and the momentum has continued into 2025. In the first half of the year, Cambodia recorded more than 3.4 million international arrivals, with Vietnam among the top source markets. The uptick reflects growing regional mobility and renewed confidence in Cambodia’s tourism infrastructure.

Vietravel, one of Vietnam’s largest travel firms, has played a key role in facilitating cross-border tourism and is expected to expand its footprint in Cambodia through new partnerships and destination marketing.
