Cambodia Showcases Signature Exports at Timor-Leste’s First International Trade Expo
DILI, Timor-Leste (Aug. 28, 2025) — Cambodia spotlighted its premium agricultural and artisanal products at the inaugural Dili International Trade Expo 2025, with Secretary of State Pich Rithi leading the delegation and joining Timor-Leste Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Held under the theme “Make It Brand It,” the five-day expo drew representatives from more than a dozen countries, including Australia, Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Fiji, Macao-China and Portugal. The event featured 200 booths and aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship across sectors.
Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce presented a wide array of export-ready and geographical indication products, including Phka Romduol fragrant rice, Kampot pepper, Kampong Speu palm sugar, Mondulkiri honey, cashew nuts, dried fruits, silk handicrafts, silver and copper carvings, and promotional materials on investment and tourism opportunities.

Pich Rithi welcomed dignitaries and international guests at Cambodia’s booth, offering insights into the country’s trade potential and development priorities. The display drew strong interest and praise from Timorese officials and foreign participants, underscoring Cambodia’s growing regional economic footprint.
The Dili International Trade Expo runs through Sept. 1 and marks Timor-Leste’s first major international trade exhibition, positioning the country as a new hub for regional commerce and collaboration.
