The meeting, held in Sydney, included representatives from Cambodian ministries, institutions, and private sector stakeholders from both countries. Prasad briefed the delegation on the council’s role in coordinating and managing Australian private investment, including venture capital, private equity, and private credit. She also outlined the council’s function in mobilizing retirement savings for long-term investment in strategic sectors.

Sun highlighted Cambodia’s investment potential and invited Prasad and member companies of the Australia Investment Council to visit Cambodia and explore opportunities under the country’s national development strategy. He emphasized Cambodia’s commitment to creating a stable and competitive investment climate.

Australian investors Stephen Higgins and Morgan Hart, who are currently active in Cambodia, also joined the meeting and shared their positive experiences operating in the country. Their remarks underscored Cambodia’s evolving business environment and helped spark further interest from the Australian side.

The engagement is part of Cambodia’s broader effort to attract foreign direct investment and deepen bilateral economic cooperation with Australia.
