PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Aug. 22, 2025) — Pestech (Cambodia) Plc., a publicly listed company on the Cambodia Securities Exchange, reported a 15.2% drop in revenue for the third quarter ended June 30, citing operational delays, rising project costs and liquidity constraints.

Revenue for the quarter was 14.82 billion riel ($3.61 million), down from 17.49 billion riel in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024. Total assets stood at 884.98 billion riel, a 3.5% decline from the transitional period ended Sept. 30, 2024. Total equity fell sharply to negative 97.64 billion riel, compared to negative 1.29 billion riel in the previous period — a decrease of more than 7,400%.

Executive Chairman Datuk Seri (Dr.) Subramaniam Pillai said the quarter marked one of the most difficult periods in the company’s history. “We navigated delays, cost pressures and liquidity challenges that tested our resilience and underscored the importance of disciplined execution and strong governance,” he said in a statement.

Pestech Cambodia undertook a comprehensive review of ongoing projects, introduced tighter cost controls and appointed new leadership to stabilize operations. Pillai said these steps have laid the foundation for more consistent performance and improved project delivery.

The company also highlighted a strategic investment by Dhaya Maju Infrastructure (Asia) Sdn Bhd in its parent firm, which is expected to unlock new growth opportunities in renewable energy and infrastructure across Cambodia and the ASEAN region.

Key projects during the quarter included the 230kV Stung Tatay Hydropower Plant to Phnom Penh transmission line, now 81% complete, and Phase 2 of the Phnom Penh City Underground Distribution Project, which is 59% complete. Both are part of Cambodia’s national electrification and urban infrastructure development agenda.

Pillai said the company has strengthened board oversight, internal audits and risk management systems, with a renewed focus on financial discipline and project execution.
