Malaysia’s Largest Private Hospital Opens Free Health Consultation Office in Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh: Sunway Medical Centre-Penang has officially opened its free health consultation office in Phnom Penh to make it easier for Cambodian citizens seeking affordable and effective overseas medical treatment.

Sunway Medical Centre in Penang, is recognized as one of the largest private hospitals in Southeast Asia. It is equipped with modern facilities, highly skilled doctors, and offers treatment for a wide range of illnesses—covering general medicine, gynecology, orthopedic surgery, cardiology, and in particular, advanced cancer treatment.

Hospital’s Head of Business Development Ms. Abbey Ong stated that the opening of the Phnom Penh office is intended to help Cambodian patients receive free health consultations. These include health planning, medical tourism arrangements, general check-ups, and treatment plans in Malaysia.
Over the years, Sunway Medical Centre-Penang has treated patients from several Asian countries, including China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Cambodia, Ms. Abbey Ong noted.

She further explained that, to support Cambodian citizens in accessing international-standard healthcare services abroad, the hospital has prepared a special health screening package. “The general health screening package at Sunway Medical Centre in Penang costs only 999 Ringgit—equivalent to just over USD 230, which includes a medical check-up and a three-night stay at Sunway Hotel. In addition, Cambodian citizens will receive an extra 20% discount on this health screening package,” she said.
