Cambodia, Israel to Expand Cooperation in Trade, Agriculture and Technology

PHNOM PENH, June 24, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia and Israel have agreed to expand cooperation in trade, agriculture, technology and healthcare, with both sides pledging to deepen bilateral ties during talks in Phnom Penh, officials said Tuesday.
Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet met Israel’s ambassador to Cambodia, Alona Fisher‑Kamm, at the Peace Palace, where the two discussed practical measures to strengthen collaboration.
The ambassador praised the positive trajectory of relations and pointed to demographic similarities — particularly large youth populations — as a foundation for deeper engagement.
Fisher‑Kamm reaffirmed Israel’s support for programmes enabling Cambodian agricultural students to undertake internships in Israel and said efforts would continue to create employment opportunities in the sector.
She also voiced support for expanding cooperation in education, culture and science.
Samdech Thipadei welcomed the development of ties and said Cambodia was committed to supporting existing areas of cooperation while exploring new opportunities.
Both sides discussed ways to boost trade and investment, improve water resource management, and encourage stronger business‑to‑business links.
The meeting concluded with a pledge to promote practical cooperation across multiple sectors, reinforcing Cambodia and Israel’s determination to broaden their partnership.
