Cambodia Deports Over 1,000 Foreign Nationals in Crackdown on Online Scam Networks
PHNOM PENH, Feb 17, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia has deported more than 1,000 foreign nationals in an intensified crackdown on online scam networks and immigration violations, officials said Tuesday.
Between February 14 and 16, the General Department of Immigration deported 1,089 people, including 57 women, from 14 countries. Authorities said the individuals were implicated in offenses ranging from illegal border crossings and online fraud to gambling, overstaying visas and unlawful employment.

Most deportations were processed through Techo International Airport, while Vietnamese nationals were repatriated via the Prek Chak International Border Gate. The operation was directed by Lieutenant General Sok Veasna, head of the immigration department.
Officials said the mass deportations reflect the government’s firm enforcement of immigration and criminal laws, particularly targeting technology based crimes affecting victims both domestically and abroad. Police data show that in the first nine months of 2025, 48 anti crime operations led to 168 court cases and the deportation of 2,722 foreign nationals.
Official said the latest action signals continued efforts to dismantle cybercrime networks and strengthen public security nationwide.
