PHNOM PENH, Feb 5, 2026 (KPT) — Khmer Enterprise has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding national programs and deepening collaboration with the private sector to strengthen Cambodia’s small and medium enterprise (SME) ecosystem.

At its 19th Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday, the organization reviewed progress and endorsed the expansion of several flagship initiatives aimed at nurturing innovation, improving product quality and helping local businesses scale sustainably.

The programs include entrepreneurship pathways at high school and university levels, a product packaging design competition, a student investment scheme, a textile innovation contest and the Khmer Enterprise Support Package.

Together, they are designed to build a pipeline from early-stage innovators to growth-ready enterprises, while enhancing branding capacity and competitiveness.

Board chairman Hem Vanndy, who is also Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, said partnerships were key to turning policy into tangible outcomes.

“By strengthening national programs and working closely with the private sector, Khmer Enterprise is creating practical pathways for entrepreneurs and SMEs to grow, compete and contribute more significantly to the national economy,” he said.

The Board encouraged stronger cooperation with banks, insurers and other stakeholders to widen access to financing, expertise and new markets. CEO Chheang Vann Monynd added that the organization’s strategy focuses on equipping SMEs with tools, networks and confidence to adapt to economic change and seize new opportunities.
