PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Nov. 29,2025) — The Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) has set out eight recommendations to guide its strategic direction for 2026-2030, focusing on strengthening humanitarian work and maintaining public trust.

Permanent Vice President Pich Chanmony Hun Manet delivered the guidance Friday at the closing session of the CRC’s annual review meeting at its Phnom Penh headquarters. More than 150 representatives from the central office and 25 provincial branches attended.

Speaking on behalf of CRC President Bun Rany Hun Sen, Chanmony praised members for identifying challenges and proposing solutions, including through an online feedback system.

She also conveyed greetings from the Queen Mother and reiterated the CRC’s motto: “The Cambodian Red Cross is everywhere, for everyone, leaving no one behind.”

Chanmony outlined eight priorities for the next strategic cycle: continuing mid-term assessments to inform the 2026-2030 plan; aligning new plans with the four priority sectors of the 2021-2030 strategy; strengthening monitoring and evaluation;

Supporting the government’s Pentagon Strategy in disaster preparedness, health education, environmental protection, drug prevention and youth engagement; requiring all branches to adopt minimum plans that meet central standards; and integrating digital tools to improve efficiency, responsiveness and transparency.

She said the CRC’s success depends on donor contributions and the commitment of frontline humanitarian workers, expressing confidence the new recommendations will enhance the organization’s impact in the years ahead.
