PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Nov.22,2025) — Cambodia’s deputy prime minister and investment chief met Friday with Jason Ma, founder and CEO of EALYTEX GLOBAL INC, who outlined the company’s interest in expanding investments in agricultural processing for export.

The meeting, facilitated by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, was held at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) headquarters.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, who also serves as first vice chairman of the CDC, welcomed the initiative and said the government strongly supports agro‑industrial projects that add value to local products.

He instructed CDC officials to work closely with the company to ensure the project moves forward smoothly, noting that such investments align with Cambodia’s policy of building a full production chain from harvesting to finished goods.

The discussion comes as Cambodia has seen a surge in investment approvals this year. Between January and October, the CDC approved 575 projects worth more than $9.2 billion, a 67% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The projects are expected to generate about 400,000 jobs nationwide, according to CDC figures. In October alone, 29 projects valued at $1.4 billion were endorsed.

Officials said the momentum reflects Cambodia’s growing role as a regional investment hub, supported by political stability, fiscal incentives and an improved business climate.
