Cambodia hosts national employment fair to expand job opportunities
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Nov.03, 2025) — Cambodia’s 15th National Employment and Productivity Fair opened Monday at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre, drawing more than 1,800 participants from government agencies, private companies and training institutions.

Presided over by Labour and Vocational Training Minister Heng Sour, the two-day event aimed to strengthen cooperation among government bodies, development partners, employers, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions, and job seekers.
More than 150 companies and organizations took part, offering no over 30,000 job vacancies. The fair also featured workshops and panel discussions focused on productivity, competitiveness and professional development.
Sour emphasized the importance of peace and stability in sustaining investment and job creation under Prime Minister Hun Manet’s leadership.
He called for stronger public-private collaboration to enhance workforce skills and improve labor standards.
“The private sector plays a crucial role in improving supply chain efficiency and investing in targeted training,” Sour said. “Workers must continue to develop flexible and adaptable skills to meet the fast-changing demands of technology.”
According to the Ministry of Labour, approximately 46,000 job vacancies were coordinated as of October, with about 27,000 people placed in employment, including returning migrant workers from Thailand.
Sour also underscored the role of trade unions in helping workers acquire new skills and fostering harmonious industrial relations.
Speakers at the opening ceremony included representatives from the International Labour Organization, the Skills Development Fund, the Textile, Apparel, Footwear and Travel Goods Association in Cambodia, and the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia.
They voiced support for ongoing efforts to boost employment and labor productivity.
The event was co-organized by the National Employment Agency, UYFC Phnom Penh Branch, TAFTAC, SDF, the Korea International Cooperation Agency and the ILO. A total of 187 exhibition booths showcased job opportunities and training programs.
