PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept.15,2025) — Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Vongsey Visoth departed for China on Sept. 15 to lead a high-level delegation to the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo, held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from Sept. 17 to 21.
Appointed by Prime Minister Hun Manet, Visoth will represent Cambodia at the official opening ceremony and deliver remarks on behalf of the Cambodian government. He is also scheduled to inaugurate Cambodia’s national pavilion and trade exhibition booth, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce, business leaders, and investors.

Held under the theme “Smart and Digital Innovation for Development: Leveraging New Trends in China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 to Build a Closer Community with a Shared Future,” the expo aims to promote regional cooperation and economic integration.
Cambodia’s participation focuses on showcasing high-potential products, expanding export markets, attracting foreign investment, and strengthening private sector connectivity. The delegation will also host business forums and trade discussions to deepen Cambodia-China economic and diplomatic ties, as well as outreach to ASEAN member states.

Visoth is expected to meet with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, Guangxi Governor Wei Tao, and representatives from key Chinese enterprises to discuss investment and cooperation opportunities.
