PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept. 13) — Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism Huot Hak met with Wang Shubai, vice president of Nanjing Tuniu International Travel Service Co., Ltd., on Friday to discuss expanding tourism cooperation and promoting Cambodia’s travel potential to Chinese and international audiences.

Tuniu, a leading Chinese travel company with more than 120 million app users, pledged to help showcase Cambodia’s cultural and natural attractions through strategic marketing and tourism development initiatives.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Tourism headquarters, Hak expressed appreciation for Tuniu’s commitment to promoting Cambodia’s tourism in a comprehensive and in-depth manner. He emphasized the importance of bringing “Cambodia to the world and the world to Cambodia.”

The minister also welcomed the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between Tuniu and the Cambodia Tourism Marketing and Promotion Board (CTB), a key driver of the Cambodia-China Tourism Year. Discussions included the development of tourism packages, travel routes, family study tours, honeymoon trips, and other specialized offerings.

Minister invited Tuniu to organize a familiarization trip (Famtrip) for Chinese stakeholders to gain firsthand insight into Cambodia’s political and social landscape, as well as its investment and tourism opportunities.
