PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept.11, 2025)— ACLEDA Bank Plc. will issue a $100 million subordinated bond within this September, marking its second such issuance in 2025, according to bank officials.

In an exclusive interview with Kampuchea Thmey on Sept. 1, Dr. In Channy, president and group managing director of ACLEDA Bank, said the bank has received approval from the National Bank of Cambodia and the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia.

“The authorities have thoroughly reviewed our governance, management, transparency and public disclosure practices before granting permission,” Channy said.
He emphasized that the bank’s long-term business strategy is designed to ensure profitability and resilience in the face of future challenges.

“The bank itself has to ensure long-term business strategies to predict the future with strong and full measures to ensure that our business is profitable as planned, and how we adjust to face challenges to maintain our income,” he said.
Channy added that the bond issuance will benefit both the institution and investors, while contributing to Cambodia’s economic development under the national 2025–2035 master plan.

ACLEDA Bank became the first commercial bank in Cambodia to list shares on the Cambodian Stock Exchange in May 2020.
