Cambodia, Philippines Sign Three Agreements to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept. 8, 2025) — Cambodia and the Philippines signed three bilateral agreements aimed at deepening cooperation in law enforcement, education, and air services during a high-level meeting at the Peace Palace.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., who is in Phnom Penh for a three-day state visit from Sept. 7 to 9 at the invitation of King Norodom Sihamoni.
The three documents include an exchange of notes amending the memorandum of understanding between the Cambodian National Police and the Philippine National Police on cooperation in combating transnational crime; a memorandum of understanding between Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Philippines’ Commission on Higher Education to promote collaboration in higher education; and a memorandum of understanding on air services between the two countries to enhance connectivity and aviation cooperation.

President Marcos Jr. and First The three documents include Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos arrived in Phnom Penh on Sept. 7. On Monday morning, Marcos was also received by Samdech Hun Sen, acting head of state and president of the Cambodian Senate.
The agreements mark a new chapter in Cambodia–Philippines relations, which celebrated 68 years of diplomatic ties in August.
