Cambodia Showcases Safe Tourism by Hosting Miss Planet International Final
PHNOM PENH, March 16, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia’s hosting of the Miss Planet International 2025 Grand Final has underscored the country’s reputation as a safe tourism destination with rich cultural and natural attractions, Tourism Minister Huot Hak said Sunday.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, attended by senior officials, tourism leaders and representatives of the Miss Planet International Organization, Hak highlighted Cambodia’s coastal beauty, cultural heritage and the hospitality of its people. More than 2,000 guests and 33 contestants from around the world joined the event in Phnom Penh.

The minister stressed that Cambodia continues to ensure safety and security for international visitors, adding that the successful staging of the pageant demonstrates the country’s readiness to host major global events.
The event also showcased Cambodia’s dynamic development and vibrant atmosphere, reinforcing Cambodia’s image as a welcoming destination for tourists and investors alike.
