Cambodia Positions Itself as Safe, Welcoming Destination for Visitors
PHNOM PENH, March 11, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia has reaffirmed its position as a safe and welcoming destination, highlighting political stability, social order and strong security measures to attract international travelers, the Ministry of Tourism said Wednesday.
In an official statement, the ministry stressed that peace and public safety remain intact despite global challenges ranging from geopolitical tensions and regional security issues to climate change, emerging diseases and online scams.

“Travel by air, land and sea remains safe, reliable and welcoming for both domestic and international tourists,” the ministry said.
Authorities have stepped up coordination among ministries, institutions, international partners and the private sector to suppress criminal activities, particularly online scams, and safeguard visitors. The government has also enhanced institutional cooperation to ensure tourists enjoy a secure environment across the country.
Cambodia’s strong commitment to safety is part of a broader effort to strengthen confidence among travelers and reinforce the country’s competitiveness in the global tourism market.
The ministry urged visitors to continue exploring Cambodia’s cultural heritage and natural landscapes with confidence, citing the country’s peaceful society and the hospitality of its people.
