Cambodia’s Trade Surpasses $11 Billion in First Two Months of 2026
PHNOM PENH, Mar. 10, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia’s international trade exceeded $11 billion in the first two months of 2026, marking a sharp rise compared with the same period last year, official data showed Tuesday.
The General Department of Customs and Excise reported total trade of $11.11 billion from January to February, up 17.6 percent from $9.4 billion in 2025. Exports rose 17.2 percent to $5.22 billion, while imports climbed 18 percent to $5.88 billion.

Lim Heng, vice president of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, said the increase reflects stronger production capacity driven by new investment projects. He noted Cambodia continues to benefit from preferential trade schemes such as the EU’s Everything But Arms initiative and the Generalized System of Preferences, while free trade agreements with China and South Korea have further boosted exports.
Commerce Ministry spokesperson Penn Sovicheat said Cambodia has maintained confidence among international buyers and continues to secure major global markets. Key exports include garments, footwear, travel goods, tires, electrical components, and furniture.
Cambodia’s trading partners include China, ASEAN states, the United States, the European Union, Japan, Canada, South Korea, and Australia. Officials said total trade reached $65.25 billion in 2025, up 18 percent year on year, underscoring the country’s growing role in global supply chains.
