Cambodia and G Adventures to Co-Host 2026 GX Summit
PHNOM PENH, Feb 27, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia will partner with global travel company G Adventures to host the 2026 Global Tour Operators Summit (GX Summit), officials announced Thursday, in a move expected to raise the country’s tourism profile internationally.
Mark Howarth Archer, a representative of G Adventures, met with Tourism Minister Huot Hak to discuss preparations for the annual conference, scheduled for September 23–28 in Cambodia.

Archer requested government support for organizing the event, including a local product exhibition at Wat Phnom and curated temple tours in Siem Reap to highlight Cambodia’s cultural heritage to global tour operators.
Minister Huot Hak welcomed the decision to select Cambodia as host and pledged full backing for the summit. He reaffirmed that Cambodia is a safe, high-potential destination for tourism, investment, and international events, expressing confidence the GX Summit will boost the country’s visibility and stimulate growth in the sector.
Now in its fourth year, GX brings together travel agents, industry leaders, media, trade partners, content creators and G Adventures staff to showcase how community tourism sustains livelihoods, preserves culture and creates long-term economic opportunities.
Hundreds of international tourism professionals are expected to attend, generating immediate economic activity and strengthening Cambodia’s reputation as a destination where tourism supports sustainable development and local prosperity.
