CEBU, Philippines, Feb 1, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia won 27 honors at the ASEAN Tourism Awards 2026, highlighting its readiness to attract regional and international visitors with improved standards across cities, hotels and event venues.
The awards were presented on Jan. 30 during the ASEAN Tourism Forum in Cebu, where Tourism Minister Huot Hak led a delegation of ministry officials, provincial representatives and private-sector stakeholders.

Five Cambodian cities — Siem Reap, Steung Saen, Kampong Cham, Battambang and Preah Sihanouk — were recognized under the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Standard for efforts to maintain cleanliness, public order and visitor-friendly environments.
The hospitality sector received five ASEAN Green Hotel Awards for environmentally responsible practices, while 15 ASEAN MICE Venue Awards were granted across categories including meeting rooms, exhibition halls and event venues.
Cambodia also secured two ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Awards in the urban and rural categories, acknowledging initiatives that balance tourism growth with environmental sustainability and community development.
Officials said the recognitions reflect Cambodia’s commitment to quality services and strong hospitality standards, reinforcing its position as a dependable destination for leisure and business events in the ASEAN region.
