Cambodia, Russia Deepen Private Sector Ties Amid Growing Bilateral Trade
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Nov. 13, 2025) — Cambodia and Russia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation during a business delegation meeting held November 12, in Phnom Penh.

The event, organized by the Cambodia–Russia Trade House, aimed to foster B2B partnerships and expand private sector engagement between the two countries.
Presiding over the meeting, Mr. Lim Phanphearak, undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Commerce, welcomed Russian Ambassador Anatoly Borovik and representatives from leading Russian enterprises in food processing, manufacturing, automotive and logistics, including APK, Miratorg, DVK, GAZ, AVTOVAZ and KAMAZ.

Phanphearak highlighted Cambodia’s export potential in cashew nuts, pepper and tropical fruits, and emphasized opportunities to import Russian fertilizers, agricultural machinery and irrigation technologies to support Cambodia’s modernization efforts. He also briefed participants on Cambodia’s trade facilitation tools and investment incentives, including the Pentagon Strategy and digital platforms such as CamDX and the FTA Portal.

The meeting comes as Cambodia and Russia continue to expand bilateral trade. In 2024, ASEAN-Russia trade reached $17 billion, a 12% year-on-year increase, with Cambodia actively negotiating a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union, which includes Russia.
Officials said the business delegation meeting reflects growing momentum in Cambodia–Russia economic relations and supports long-term goals for diversification, industrial upgrading and regional integration.
