Cambodia earns over $35 million from Angkor ticket sales in first 10 months of 2025, down 1.15%
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Nov.03,2025) — Cambodia generated more than $35.5 million in revenue from ticket sales to the Angkor Archaeological Park between January and October 2025, marking a 1.15% decline compared to the same period last year, according to a report released Nov. 1 by the Angkor Enterprise.
The report said 765,518 international visitors purchased tickets to the UNESCO World Heritage site during the 10-month period, down 1.12% year-on-year. The drop in ticket sales resulted in total earnings of $35,575,781.
Keo Thy, president of the Cambodian Association of Travel Agents, said foreign tourist arrivals remained stable, with overall tourism showing signs of growth. He noted that Thailand’s recent border closures had no impact on Angkor-bound travel, as roughly 90% of foreign tourists entered Cambodia via Vietnam.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) reported a continued rebound in Cambodia’s tourism sector during the first half of 2025, driven by rising arrivals from mainland China.
However, ongoing tensions along the Thai-Cambodian border are expected to disrupt tourism and broader service sector activities in the second half of the year and beyond.
