Cambodia Approves $280 Million in Investment Projects for Preah Sihanouk
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Oct.01, 2025) — The Cambodian government has approved 17 new investment projects in Preah Sihanouk province totaling approximately $280 million, part of a broader effort to spur regional development and job creation.

The projects include a mixed-use commercial center, an aluminum processing plant, a livestock feed production facility, multi-purpose buildings and several hotel developments. Officials estimate the initiatives will create about 2,195 jobs.
The approvals fall into three categories: 10 stalled construction projects revived under incentive schemes, five new investments and two existing projects receiving additional support.
From 2024 through September 2025, the Investment Promotion Working Group in Preah Sihanouk province has approved 392 projects with a combined estimated investment of $7.8 billion, generating roughly 50,670 jobs.
Government officials said they remain committed to fostering a business-friendly environment through streamlined procedures and targeted incentives, aiming to position Preah Sihanouk as a hub for diversified and sustainable investment.
