PREAH SIHANOUK, Jan. 24, 2026 (KPT) — The U.S. Navy littoral combat ship USS Cincinnati (LCS 20) docked at Cambodia’s Ream Naval Base on Friday for a four-day visit aimed at strengthening military-to-military ties between the two countries.

The vessel will remain until January 28, with Cambodian and U.S. naval personnel scheduled to conduct joint training exercises and friendly sports events to foster cooperation and mutual understanding.

Officials said the visit underscores Cambodia’s policy of openness and transparency in working with international partners to promote regional peace and stability.

Weighing about 3,000 tons and measuring 130 meters in length, the USS Cincinnati is equipped with a helicopter and commanded by Cmdr. Andrew J. Recame. The ship was welcomed on arrival by Rear Admiral In Sokhemara, Deputy Commander of Ream Naval Base.
