Cambodian Deputy PM Urges Sino Group to Expand Welfare-Focused Investments
HONG KONG (Sept.11, 2025) — Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol met with executives from China’s Sino Group on Thursday to discuss expanding corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at improving welfare in Cambodia, officials said.

Chanthol, who also serves as First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, led a delegation to Hong Kong for talks with Robert Ng, Vice President of Sino Group. The meeting focused on potential investments in mobile hospital operations to serve rural and vulnerable communities across Cambodia.

Sino Group, a major property development firm with ongoing projects in Cambodia, pledged to explore opportunities to support the initiative. The company has emphasized its commitment to CSR through strategies promoting green living, community engagement and productivity.
The Cambodian government has increasingly sought private sector partnerships to bolster public health and infrastructure in underserved regions.
