PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Sept.10, 2025) — Two agricultural companies have signed a $30 million agreement to boost Cambodian fruit and vegetable exports to China’s Henan province over the next two years, the Ministry of Commerce announced Wednesday.

The memorandum of understanding was signed between Zhengzhou Chen’s Sun Fruit and Vegetable Co., Ltd. and Nongde Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. during a ceremony held on Sept. 10.

The deal aims to expand Cambodia’s presence in the Chinese market, with a focus on high-demand products such as durians, mangoes, bananas and longans. Chen’s Sun has already begun importing Cambodian durians by air, with shipments arriving in Henan in under four hours, according to the ministry.

Officials said the agreement reflects growing trade ties between Cambodia and China and supports Cambodia’s broader strategy to promote agricultural exports and rural development.

The Ministry of Commerce said the partnership will help local producers access new markets, improve logistics and strengthen the country’s role in regional food supply chains.
