PHNOM PENH, March 31, 2026 (KPT)— Cambodia is stepping up efforts to attract South Korean investment, with a focus on agro industry and special economic zones, as a delegation from South Korea’s Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) visited Phnom Penh, officials said Monday.

The delegation, led by ICCI Chairman Joo Bong Park, met Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board under the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral investment cooperation.

Vuthy said the visit reflects growing economic ties and will help boost inflows from Korean enterprises. He pointed to Cambodia’s pro business policies, infrastructure development and political stability as factors enhancing investor confidence.

Officials highlighted agro industry as a high potential sector, encouraging Korean firms to process Cambodian agricultural products into Korean style food and consumer goods. Cambodia also proposed developing a Cambodia–Korea Special Economic Zone to attract targeted industrial clusters.

Park expressed strong interest in Cambodia’s investment landscape and pledged to promote opportunities to Incheon based businesses. Delegation members noted Cambodia’s rapid development and stable environment, underscoring its appeal as an investment destination.
