PREAH SIHANOUK, April 3, 2026 (KPT) – The arrival of an international cruise ship carrying hundreds of passengers has reinforced confidence in Cambodia’s reputation as a safe and attractive destination, officials said Friday.

The Seven Seas Mariner, a Bahamas-flagged luxury vessel, docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port with 609 tourists from 27 countries and 464 crew members representing 36 nationalities.

Tourism Minister Huot Hak oversaw a reception organized by the Provincial Department of Tourism, showcasing Cambodia’s hospitality and readiness to welcome international visitors.

Officials highlighted Preah Sihanouk’s beaches and strategic location as a gateway for marine and leisure tourism, underscoring the province’s growing role as a regional hub for cruise travel.

At more than 216 meters long, the Seven Seas Mariner ranks among the larger ships to call at the port, underlining the capacity of Cambodia’s maritime infrastructure to support international cruise operations.
