Cambodia Sustains Strong Economic Growth Amid Global Uncertainty, PM Says
PHNOM PENH, April 26, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia has maintained strong and resilient economic growth despite mounting global uncertainties, Prime Minister Hun Manet said Sunday, crediting the country’s performance to long‑standing peace and stability.
Speaking at Koh Pich Convention Hall before union leaders, associations and representatives of the informal economy, Samdech Thipadie Hun Manet warned that the world is increasingly surrounded by risks — from wars and regional conflicts to geopolitical competition and the erosion of global order — with impacts felt in Cambodia.

He stressed that the kingdom continues to uphold macroeconomic stability, citing low inflation, stable exchange rates, rising international reserves and steady expansion in trade. Diversification of exports and trading partners, alongside robust foreign direct investment inflows, have reinforced resilience.
Samdech Thipadie Hun Manet said these gains reflect effective fiscal and monetary policies aimed at sustainability and financial inclusion. He underlined that Cambodia’s ability to sustain high growth under complex global conditions stems from the peace dividends secured by former prime minister and current Senate president Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
