PHNOM PENH, May 4, 2026 (KPT) — Ministry of Tourism launched the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season 2026” campaign, aiming to rebrand the country’s traditionally low travel period and strengthen confidence in its tourism sector, officials said Saturday.

Tourism Minister Huot Hak inaugurated the campaign at a ceremony attended by foreign ambassadors and international content creators, underscoring the role of global partners in promoting Cambodia’s appeal.

The initiative highlights the Kingdom’s lush landscapes, cooler temperatures and distinctive cultural experiences from May to October, positioning the “Green Season” as a unique travel window.

Hak stressed that international engagement is vital to boosting Cambodia’s attractiveness and reassuring travelers. The campaign seeks to showcase rice fields, mountain waterfalls and heritage sites such as Angkor Wat in a more tranquil setting, away from peak season crowds.

Authorities expect the effort to attract more visitors by presenting Cambodia as a destination defined by natural beauty, serenity and immersive cultural experiences, while reinforcing the country’s image as a year round tourism hub.
