Prince Bank Nears Completion of Depositor Payouts as Panda Bank Liquidation Advances
PHNOM PENH, June 26, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia’s appointed liquidator has reported significant progress in the liquidation of Prince Bank and Panda Commercial Bank, with nearly all Prince Bank depositors repaid and Panda Bank continuing phased reimbursements, officials said Thursday.
Morisonkak MKA Audit‑Accounting, named by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) as liquidator, said the process is being conducted transparently and in line with applicable laws.

As of June 17, almost all Prince Bank depositors had received their funds, except for accounts frozen under court orders and a small number of dormant accounts. The liquidator is also transferring Prince Bank’s loan portfolio to Cambodia Post Bank, following an NBC announcement in May.
For Panda Commercial Bank, assets are being converted into cash to repay depositors and creditors in stages. About 96 percent of depositors are expected to receive full repayment in the first phase, while 198 large depositors will be settled in subsequent rounds as more assets are liquidated.
Depositors with balances between US$1 and US$500 have been urged to collect their funds within one month of the latest announcement, which serves as the first official reminder.
Prince Bank was placed under temporary administration in January 2025, followed by Panda Bank in February 2025, as part of NBC measures to safeguard financial stability and reinforce public confidence in the banking sector.
