Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), accompanied Hun Manet in courtesy calls and bilateral discussions with senior executives of nine major Chinese companies on July 15.

The delegation met with CHINALCO, China Railway Construction Corporation, China Energy International, China Machinery Engineering Corporation, Haier Group, Shandong (Cambodia) Economic and Technological Development Zone, Yuanda Group, Fujian Jinlu Daily Chemical and Beijing Star AI.
The companies represent strategic industries ranging from aluminum production, railway construction and energy to home appliances, industrial park development, consumer goods and artificial intelligence. Cambodian officials said the engagements underscored the government’s push to strengthen economic cooperation with China and promote the Kingdom as a competitive destination for investment in priority sectors.
The meetings formed part of Hun Manet’s official working visit to China from July 15–17, reflecting Cambodia’s commitment to expanding partnerships with leading Chinese enterprises and attracting quality investment to support industrial development, infrastructure expansion, technological innovation and sustainable growth.
