Three Cambodian Youth Leaders Join ASEAN Youth Fellowship 2025
SINGAPORE/KUALA LUMPUR (Nov. 24, 2025) — Three young Cambodian leaders joined 41 emerging leaders from across Southeast Asia in the ASEAN Youth Fellowship 2025, a weeklong program focused on regional cooperation, sustainability and inclusive development.
Held Nov. 7–14, the fellowship aligned with ASEAN’s 2025 theme, “Inclusivity and Sustainability.” Cambodian delegates contributed to discussions on sustainability, digital innovation and community resilience.

Aok Sochenda, environmental content creator and founder of Zerow, said the fellowship underscored the importance of collaboration. “The Fellowship broadened my understanding of what regional leadership means. It’s not just about representing our own countries but about contributing to ASEAN’s shared progress. AYF reminded me that friendship is the foundation of meaningful collaborations,” she said.
The Cambodian fellows met with senior policymakers, including Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and Malaysian Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil. They also visited innovation and sustainability sites such as Punggol Digital District, URBANICE Malaysia and PARC Subang Jaya.
Their participation strengthened Cambodia’s presence in the AYF network, which now includes more than 280 fellows working across sustainability, digital inclusion and community development. Fellows also have access to the AYF Impact Fund, which provides grants of up to S$20,000 for youth-led initiatives.
AYF is organized by Singapore’s National Youth Council and the Singapore International Foundation.
