Cambodia Urges Nationals in Gulf States to Remain Vigilant Amid Rising Israel–U.S.–Iran Tensions
KUWAIT, March 1, 2026 (KPT ) — The Embassy of Cambodia in Kuwait, which also covers Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, has issued a safety advisory urging Cambodian citizens in the Gulf region to remain vigilant as military tensions escalate sharply in the Middle East.
In a statement released on February 28, the embassy warned that recent military actions involving Israel, the United States and Iran have heightened regional security concerns. The advisory followed joint Israeli–U.S. strikes against targets inside Iran on Saturday, marking a major escalation in the long-running dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program and regional influence.

The embassy noted that the hostilities have not been confined to Iranian territory. Iranian forces have reportedly launched missile and drone attacks affecting airspace in several Gulf states, including Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE, raising fears that the conflict could spread further.
“Due to the serious nature of current military tensions, all Cambodian nationals residing in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain are urged to exercise the highest level of caution and to strictly follow local authorities’ guidance and safety directives,” the embassy said.
Citizens were also reminded to contact the Cambodian Embassy in Kuwait promptly in case of emergencies or if consular assistance is required.
