Senate President sends Lunar New Year greetings to Chinese leaders, hails Cambodia China partnership

PHNOM PENH, 13 February 2026 (KPT) – Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of Cambodia’s Senate and the ruling Cambodian People’s Party, has sent Lunar New Year greetings to China’s top leaders, underscoring the strength of bilateral ties.
In letters addressed to President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, Zhao Leji and Wang Huning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen extended best wishes to the Communist Party, the National People’s Congress, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the Chinese people.
He expressed confidence that the Year of the Snake would bring prosperity to the “ironclad” friendship between Cambodia and China, strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership and advance the building of a community with a shared future.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also wished the leaders good health and success in their duties, while reaffirming Cambodia’s commitment to deepening cooperation across political, economic and cultural spheres.
Officials said the greetings reflect the long standing strategic partnership between the two countries.
