PHNOM PENH, Feb 8, 2026 (KPT) — Cambodia deported 110 Chinese nationals after authorities found them involved in online scam activities, the General Department of Immigration said Sunday.

The group was flown out of Techo International Airport late Feb. 7 aboard a special flight coordinated between Cambodian investigators and the Chinese Embassy.

Officials described the deportation as part of Phnom Penh’s intensified campaign against technology-based crimes, aimed at safeguarding public security at both national and international levels.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to dismantling online scam networks “without exception,” targeting both perpetrators and masterminds. They also highlighted ongoing efforts to rescue victims deceived into participating in such operations and to help them return safely to their home countries.

Police data show that in the first nine months of 2025, Cambodian authorities carried out 48 operations, brought 168 suspects before the courts, and deported 2,722 foreigners linked to online scams. Earlier, alleged ringleader Chen Zhi and associates were arrested and deported to China following a months-long investigation.
