Cambodia and Poland Deepen Nearly 70 Years of Friendship, Seek Broader Cooperation in Trade and Human Capital

WARSAW, Poland (Nov. 25, 2025) — Cambodia and Poland agreed Tuesday to expand cooperation in trade, investment, human capital and other sectors as senior officials convened in Warsaw for the third session of bilateral consultations between their foreign ministries.

The meeting was co-chaired by Chring Botumrangsay, secretary of state at Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Władysław T. Bartoszewski, secretary of state at Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides praised nearly 70 years of friendship and highlighted recent milestones, including the opening of Poland’s Honorary Consulate in Phnom Penh and a visa exemption agreement for diplomatic passport holders. The co-chairs said the consultation mechanism continues to play a vital role in strengthening diplomatic engagement.

Officials reviewed ongoing cooperation and agreed to explore opportunities in health, tourism, education, agriculture, culture, digitalization, parliamentary exchange and people-to-people ties. Cambodia expressed appreciation for Poland’s support in scholarships and training programs that help build human capital.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and global issues, including the Cambodia–Thailand border situation, and reaffirmed their commitment to peace, stability and international law. They further discussed providing mutual support for candidacies in international organizations, reflecting strengthened diplomatic trust.
