PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (Nov.10, 2025) — Cambodia marked the 72nd anniversary of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and National Independence Day on Nov. 9, with Defense Minister Gen. Tea Seiha praising the military’s role in safeguarding national sovereignty.

Speaking at a commemorative ceremony, Tea Seiha said the RCAF has become “the backbone and a strong pillar in protecting the nation, defending sovereignty and territorial integrity, and ensuring peace, political stability, and the well-being of all Cambodian people.”

He commended the armed forces for their discipline, courage, and resilience, adding that Cambodian soldiers are “always prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity until the last breath.”

Tea Seiha also highlighted the RCAF’s contributions to United Nations peacekeeping and humanitarian missions, saying such efforts have elevated Cambodia’s international reputation.

The defense minister paid tribute to fallen soldiers, including those who died in past conflicts along the Cambodia-Thailand border.

He extended his appreciation to all military personnel, trainees, and peacekeeping forces serving both at home and abroad, especially those stationed in border and conflict-prone areas.
