Cambodia, Thailand Pledge to Implement Border Committee Agreements
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (Oct.23,2025) — Cambodia and Thailand on Wednesday reaffirmed their commitment to fully implement the outcomes of the second Special General Border Committee (GBC) meeting, held in Kuala Lumpur.
The meeting, which concluded at 11:30 a.m., was co-chaired by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Tea Seiha and Thai Defense Minister Gen. Nattaphon Nakphanit. Both sides signed the Joint Agreed Minutes and a Joint Statement, emphasizing their shared dedication to strengthening border cooperation and maintaining peace and stability.
Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, spokeswoman for Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence, said the meeting was held under the observership of representatives from Malaysia, the United States, and members of the International Observation Team from both countries.
The Cambodian delegation was led by Tea Seiha, while Nattaphon headed the Thai delegation. Both serve as co-chairs of the Cambodia-Thailand GBC.
