HANOI, Vietnam — Samdech Techo Hun Sen, president of Cambodia’s Senate and leader of the Cambodian People’s Party, met with General Secretary Mr.To Lam of the Communist Party of Vietnam on Monday, Sept. 1, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and party-to-party cooperation.

According to Senate spokesperson Chea Thirith, To Lam warmly welcomed Samdech Techo Hun Sen and the Cambodian delegation, describing their presence as a reflection of the enduring friendship between the two countries.
Samdech Techo expressed appreciation for the hospitality and praised Vietnam’s 1945 revolution as a historic milestone in the regional and global struggle for independence. He reaffirmed the importance of strong ties between the ruling parties and governments of both nations, noting that recent high-level exchanges have helped deepen mutual trust and cooperation.

To Lam echoed support for expanding collaboration, particularly in youth exchanges and reciprocal visits, and emphasized the role of party relations in fostering human resource development.
