PHNOM PENH, Mar. 5 (KPT) – Cambodian health officials met Wednesday with representatives from the EU ASEAN Business Council (EU ABC) and EuroCham Cambodia to explore new areas of cooperation in the health sector.

The meeting at the Ministry of Health was attended by Secretary of State Kou Vanny and a 30 member delegation led by EU ABC Vice President Noel Clehane. Companies represented included FrieslandCampina, Danone, Prudential, DHL, Coca Cola, Pernod Ricard and JT International.

Vanny welcomed the delegation and underlined the importance of stronger public–private partnerships to improve health services nationwide. Clehane reaffirmed the commitment of European businesses to support Cambodia’s health priorities.

Discussions focused on practical steps, including developing evidence based nutrition policies, expanding cooperation between government and industry, streamlining import procedures for medical and health products, and tackling illegal goods in the market.

Officials said the talks reflected ongoing collaboration between Cambodia and European partners, aligned with the country’s Universal Health Coverage plan and the Royal Government’s broader health strategy.
