CITA Partners with ACCA and BSA to Strengthen Accounting and Finance Training in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH, Feb 25, 2026 (KPT) — The Cambodia Institute of Technology and Agriculture (CITA) has signed agreements with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Business School of Accounting (BSA) to boost vocational training in accounting, finance, business and taxation, officials said Wednesday.

The MoUs were signed at a ceremony in Phnom Penh on Feb 24, presided over by Chea Kosal, Secretary of State representing Labour Minister Heng Sour. The partnerships aim to align Cambodian training programs with international standards and the demands of regional and global labor markets.

The initiative will emphasize practical training, academic quality assurance and stronger links between education and industry through career orientation and professional networking.

Kosal said the collaboration supports Cambodia’s broader strategy to strengthen technical and vocational education and training, ensuring graduates are equipped with competitive, job ready skills.

CITA Chairwoman Tang Chouly said the program reflects a shared vision to elevate professional standards. Students completing the courses will receive joint certification recognized by the Ministry of Labour and internationally by ACCA.

Officials said the partnership is expected to improve employer confidence, enhance career prospects and contribute to Cambodia’s long term competitiveness.
