Cambodia Partners with Global Exhibition Giant to Launch First International Food Technology Expo in 2026
PHNOM PENH, Feb. 24, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia will host its first international food technology exhibition in September 2026, following talks between Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, and representatives of Informa Markets, a division of Informa PLC, one of the world’s leading exhibition organizers.
The Cambodia Food Technology Exhibition 2026, scheduled for September 28–30 in Phnom Penh, will serve as the country’s first large-scale platform dedicated to food processing technologies, packaging innovation, and business networking.

Gerard Leeuwenburgh, Country General Manager for Malaysia and Cambodia at Informa Markets, outlined the company’s vision to establish a long-term presence in Cambodia. He said the exhibition would align with the Royal Government’s industrial development priorities and attract global technology providers to strengthen the nation’s food processing ecosystem.
Minister Vanndy welcomed the initiative, stressing that the event supports Cambodia’s industrial modernization agenda. He highlighted the Ministry’s backing for platforms that promote technology transfer, bolster micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and enhance export competitiveness.
The Minister also urged the integration of advanced packaging technologies and practical solutions tailored to local producers, particularly MSMEs, which play a central role in Cambodia’s food value chain.
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination to mobilize private sector participation and ensure the exhibition contributes to the transformation and modernization of Cambodia’s food industry.
