Mong Reththy Group Spends $40 Million Annually on Local Crops for Animal Feed
PHNOM PENH, Feb 23, 2026 (KPT) — Mong Reththy Group spends about $40 million each year buying agricultural products from Cambodian farmers to produce animal feed for the domestic market, Chairman and CEO Mong Reththy said Sunday.
During a visit to the group’s agro-industrial zone in Prey Nob district, Preah Sihanouk province, Reththy said the company’s feed plant plays a key role in supporting farmers and strengthening Cambodia’s agricultural value chain.

The factory currently has an annual capacity of 220,000 tons, with plans to expand to 350,000 tons. To sustain production, the company purchases large volumes of cassava and corn directly from growers, helping them avoid losses to middlemen.
Reththy noted the initiative reduces exports of raw crops, which were often sold abroad at low prices before being re-imported as processed feed at two to three times the cost.
