PHNOM PENH, Feb 19, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have discussed new regulations and technical assistance aimed at sustaining trade growth and strengthening the country’s competitiveness, officials said Thursday.

The talks were held Wednesday at the commerce ministry, where Secretary of State Tekreth Kamrang met with an ADB mission team to review policy actions under Subprogram 3 of the Trade and Competitiveness Program.

Discussions focused on accelerating the development of regulations to implement three key commercial laws: the Law on Secured Transactions, the Law on Rules of Origin, and the Law on Trade Remedies.

Officials said the meeting also explored additional technical assistance needs and the possibility of a new ADB support program once Subprogram 3 concludes, to ensure Cambodia’s trade growth remains sustainable and internationally competitive.
