SIEM REAP, Cambodia (Dec. 24, 2025) — Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, will host a humanitarian solidarity cycling event under the theme “Together for Cambodia in the Season of Solidarity” on Sunday, Dec. 28, in Siem Reap province.

The event aims to strengthen national unity, promote collective solidarity and mobilize humanitarian assistance for families displaced by ongoing border clashes.

The ministry said the initiative comes as continued fighting between Cambodian and Thai forces has caused civilian casualties, injuries and mass displacement. Authorities reported more than 600,000 civilians have fled their homes, while 21 people — including an infant — have been killed and 83 injured, according to the Ministry of Interior.

The Tourism Ministry has called on local and international tourists, residents and the public to join the cycling event and contribute humanitarian donations voluntarily.

“This activity is intended to reinforce unity in difficult times and to provide direct humanitarian support to displaced families,” the ministry said.

Registration is free until Dec. 27. Participants will receive a T-shirt, drinks and snacks on the day of the event.

In addition to joining the cycling activity, donors are encouraged to provide cash contributions and relief supplies to support affected communities.
