CPP spokesperson Chea Thyrith said the meeting followed an invitation extended in 2024 and focused on strengthening institutional ties through dialogue, personnel exchanges and leadership development.

Xie said his visit was intended to consolidate what he called a “close and cooperative partnership” between the two ruling parties, with emphasis on human resource development and sharing experience in governance and party building.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed the long-standing “iron-clad” friendship between Cambodia and China, calling for expanded joint capacity-building programs to enhance the effectiveness and resilience of both parties.
